I have recently had the good fortune to come across Fine Line Painters when I was looking at repainting the house. Following an initial consultation with James Patterson from Fine Line, a price was agreed and within 2 weeks the job had begun.

The painting crew headed by Sumote was courteous and respectful and did an immaculate job and James was on site daily to oversee progress and deal with any issues as they arose.

The house was finished in less than 2 weeks just before Xmas, and now looks very handsome indeed.

I would highly recommend Fine Line Painters to anyone looking for a professional paint job which is well priced and done in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I organised the work whilst living in the UK and found Fineline easy to deal with via email, providing a competitive quote and a through explanation of the work to be done. James pulled out all the stops to be able to start the work at very short notice which was greatly appreciated. When I arrived back in NZ and the work commenced I found the team on site to be very professional, polite and tidy. In August 2010 we decided to paint the exterior of our property. We had a couple of quotes and were most impressed with James Patterson from Fineline Painters.
Given the type of property we had (plaster), we wanted a good finish and were not interested in getting a slap-dash job done with the wrong paint. We wanted it done properly and Fineline’s quote was very reasonable for a quality job with a quality product. An added bonus!

What impressed us was
• The integrity that James had. He was only interested in doing a quality job with the right product otherwise he was not willing to do the job. That was fantastic as his reputation is really important to him so therefore he only does the best job possible.
• His communication was great. Right from the beginning, in explaining what was required and why. His recommendations also concurred with independent advice that we were given.
• His communication right through the project was great too. He was very clear on the starting date and throughout the project he was letting us know what had been done and the next step.
• We required some additional work and we had a deadline and James pulled all stops so that it was completed on time. It was great in that the additional work was the responsibility of another contactor to organize and yet James stepped in and made it happen.
• The guys on the job were great – sometimes there was a swarm of them there and yet you didn’t really know it. They were unobtrusive AND did a great job and cleaned up every night. So, thanks to the guys too. That attitude is not always present with contractors.
• Finally – what an excellent job. The finish is fantastic and we have a great product with the guarantees we required.

Our thanks to James for a really professional project from start to finish.
I would definitely use Fineline Painters again and have not hesitation in recommending James to others.

I felt it was only appropriate that I write to you and tell you how amazing our house looks after you and the boys took control of our painting project. Here was a house that hadn't been painted in 30 years and I knew it was going to be a big job. I knew the house needed some building work, I knew I'd need to sort scaffolding, I knew that the roof was in need of repair before painting, but I didn't know that I had the best painting team in town. Once I explained the vision and the hurdles, you sorted and co-ordinated the entire project. Honestly man, thanks so much for that. You explained the timing, the problems, the remedy options.. brilliant. Your boys that worked on the house were polite and hard working, all the teams you sorted and managed were always extremely professional. You helped us make decisions about paint and especially the types, you went the extra mile when we discovered other issues when working on the house. When you couldn't be here, you always checked in to make sure everything was on track.

It was the best investment we have made on the house and it was hassle free with a wicked result. Fine Line Paintings got an amazing future if our experience is anything to go by.
